About PakCalc
PakCalc is a collection of 119 free calculators built for how people in Pakistan actually measure, buy, farm and plan: Marla and Kanal instead of square metres, maunds instead of tonnes, rupees with lakh and crore, and university grading scales that differ from campus to campus.
What we believe
- Accuracy over volume. Every calculator uses a published or standard formula, shows that formula on the page, and is covered by automated tests.
- Assumptions in plain sight. Where a number can vary — the size of a Marla, a tax slab, an electricity tariff, a crop price — we say so and let you change it.
- Fast and private. Calculations run in your browser. No sign-up, no personal data.
How we keep figures current
Rates that change — exchange rates, tax slabs, example construction and crop prices — are kept in configuration separate from the calculator code, so they can be updated without touching the formulas. Each calculator states which figures are examples and which are fixed by definition.
