Crop Yield Calculator — Production & Yield per Acre

Two quick calculations farmers use all the time: how much will my land produce, and what yield per acre did I actually get?

Estimated production: 175 maund (7,000 kg) from 5 acre

  • Estimate only. Actual results depend on variety, soil, water, weather and management.

Results are estimates for planning. Actual figures depend on local conditions, prices and quotes — verify before making decisions.

Formula

Production = Area × Yield per acre

Yield per acre = Production ÷ Area

t/ha = maund/acre × 40 × 2.471 ÷ 1000

Kanal and hectares are converted to acres first.

Examples

  • 5 acres at 35 maund/acre

Estimated production: 175 maund (7,000 kg) from 5 acre

  • 170 maund from 5 acres

170 maund from 5 acre = 34 maund per acre

  • 16 kanal at 40 maund/acre

Estimated production: 80 maund (3,200 kg) from 16 kanal

Important information

  • All outputs are estimates for planning. Real results depend on variety, sowing date, soil, water, weather, pests and management.
  • Default prices and costs are examples only — replace them with this season's prices from your local market and dealers.
  • 1 maund = 40 kg. Areas can be entered in acres, kanal (1/8 acre) or hectares.

Frequently asked questions

What is the average wheat yield per acre in Pakistan?

National averages are roughly 30 maund per acre, while well-managed irrigated fields often reach 40–60 maund.

How do I convert maunds per acre to tonnes per hectare?

Multiply by 40 to get kg/acre, then by 2.471 to get kg/hectare, then divide by 1,000. 40 maund/acre ≈ 3.95 t/ha.

Can I estimate yield before harvest?

Yes — use our crop-specific yield calculators (wheat, maize, cotton, sesame), which work from simple field counts.

How do I calculate yield per acre if my land is in kanal?

Choose 'Kanal' as the area unit. The calculator divides by 8 to convert to acres (8 kanal = 1 acre) before working out yield per acre.
